Acadia Hikes with Kids

Acadia National Park Hikes we did with kids!

Have you been? Let me know what others you recommend!

⛰️ Jordan Pond - flat and beautiful. Kids had fun playing around. We also had popovers and food.

⛰️Cadillac Mountain - you need a pass to drive up or hike from very far to o get to. Amazing views! Get it ahead of time because they run out.

We also had a pass for the sunset but it was pouring, so we skipped the sunset. We will have to do that next time we come. You can get the sunset pass two days ahead, so plan accordingly. You need a park pass in addition to the Cadillac pass.

⛰️ Bar Island Path - only accessible at low tide. You could get stranded if you don’t plan the hours accordingly. We went during the low tide in the afternoon and saw the sunset from there.

⛰️ Beehive loop Trail - this was the kids favorite, but as a parent, be aware it could be scary to see your kids climbing it. It is a challenging scramble climb with iron rungs. Once you get the top, it is all wort it, just use caution!

⛰️ Ocean Path Trail - easy path but absolutely gorgeous.

Tips: Take the bus from visitor center or go very early to snatch a parking spot. Have plenty of water and snacks. As usual in national parks, no good phone signal around. Have fun!
